People
Dedicated individuals in the bushfoods arena.
- Sammy Ringer: producer of Australian Bushfoods Magazine. Most sadly, the magazine appears not to be in production any more - emails have not been responded to - but this site is still referenced as the primary bushfoods resource in Australia, and rightfully so. Back-issues are apparently available through the site - I haven't tried yet - otherwise, I'll use other means to get myself a full set of the magazine.
- Samantha Lane. A beautifully-designed and extensive set of information, including recipes, glossaries, and even tours. Sadly, many links are broken, and the mailing list appears not to be active.
- Jacqualine Hollingworth. A lovely set of articles on the Global Gourmet site.
- Peter Hardwick. Founding president of ARBIA.
- Peter Lister. Technical Officer (Scientific) with the University of Western Sydney on the Hawkesbury Campus, Richmond, NSW (at the time of writing the pages; updates ceased in 2003). Excellent information, articles, links, musings and concepts relevant to the whole bushfood issue. Other articles:

Organisations
Government, semi-Government, industry, commercial, and other organisations involved with the production and marketing of native plants and produce.
- Vic Cherikoff. What he and his organisation don't know and supply about native Australian produce in eastern Australia just isn't worth knowing.
- CSIRO Land and Water: Native Foods. "This website is an information resource for all those interested in the Native Food Industry ... CSIRO is working in conjunction with Aboriginal communities and Australian industry to learn more about ‘bush tucker’ and put Australian native foods on the menu."
- Reconciliation and Social Justice Library: VALUING CULTURES - THE COMMERCIAL BENEFITS OF INDIGENOUS FLORA. Paper by the Council for Aboriginal; Reconciliation.
- Bush Food Production. A Greenwork (northern NSW sustainable agriculture group) article on the commercial viability of bush foods. Excellent bibliography attached.
- Australian Native Food/Bush Tucker articles/Australian New Crops Newsletter. The Australian New Crops Program at the School of Agriculture and Horticulture (formerly the School of Land and Food), University of Queensland, Gatton. This link supplies all bush food/native tucker articles, although the most recent date is 1999, which may be incorrect.
- Traditional uses of Australian native plants.
A bibliography of bush-foods and Aboriginal uses, prepared by the Library staff at the Australian National Botanic Gardens, with particular focus on commercial prospects for native products and produce.
- Australian Government: Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation. "Shaping Australia's rural and agribusiness future". Do a site search on "bushfoods" and get more results than you possibly might need at one time, including the R&D Plan for the Bushfood Industry 1998 - 2002.
- The Association of Societies for Growing Australian Plants (ASGAP). Find your local regional, district and/or study group here.
- Southern Bushfood Association - SBA Homepage. "The Southern Bushfood Association is a non-profit, incorporated body established to serve all sectors of the industry in southern Australia and participate in policy development at a national level."
- The Bushfood Directory. A site older then Eat Australia but with the same aims. Run by Eco Farm in Qld and launched on National Tree Day, 2004, it has the support of the National Botanical Gardens and a range of recipes, tours, restaurants, nurseries, and an FAQ. Last updated August 2004.
- Sapphire Coast Producers' Association. A group of producers based on the Far South Coast of NSW, Australia. Native produce and products are represented.
