Eight years in the making (and still counting) ... this is a compilation of as many of the recipes thrown casually across the aether as I've kept. We discovered early on that the eclectic bunch of singers that make up choral-chat seem to have a somewhat keen interest in food, and one way to divert any potentially threatening conversation was to throw say chocolate or the latest risotto recipe into the fray. In recent years this has resulted in a sub-debate all of its own as the ethics of food (organic, genetically modified, vegetarian, vegan, ability to afford, etc) comes more and more to the forefront, but generally most nasty situations have been rapidly defused by a light-hearted discussion of whether white chocolate can be defined as _real_ chocolate (for the record, of course it's not!!).
Anyway. I've tried to divide this up into marginally logical sections. Currently I've got things roughtly done as text files, and have done up four as pretty html files. Suggestions as to format more than welcome.
Eventually I'm sure this can all be databased and really clever things done. In the meantime, it's all plaintext. Eventually I _may_ be able to put a searching system on here but I wouldn't hold your breath. It depends on how fast Tania can get up to speed on PHP and whether she wants a nice big project to play with :)
5.12.00 (some ungodly hour) Update: Have added 12 more recipes. Have started creating ingredients and titles listings. The ingredients index is going to be impressive.
I really should start thinking about databasing this. It's going to be entertaining cross-referencing everything by hand but I _may_ just go crazy by the end of it. I'm quite enjoying the exercise at the moment, which may indicate I'm crazy now. (ooook). I'm sure it's good practice for something ...
By the way there was an earlier update generously donated by Brooce of Arisia, who created nice little html placeholders for all the recipe names. Lovely boy, that. Give him a beer.
